Subject: Farewell and Gratitude After 21 Amazing Years

Dear Friends,

As I write this letter, my heart is filled with gratitude, joy, and a bit of sadness. After 21 incredible years, the time has come for us to say goodbye. Our restaurants have closed its doors, but the memories we’ve shared will last a lifetime.

To our wonderful employees—past and present:

You have been the heart and soul of this place. Without your dedication, hard work, and passion, we could never have reached this milestone. From the early mornings to the late nights, you brought not just food but love and care to every plate we served. I am grateful for your commitment, your laughter, and your unwavering support through the years. You have not just been employees but family, and I cherish the bonds we’ve built along the way.

To our beloved customers:

Thank you for choosing us to be part of your lives. Some of you have been with us since the very beginning—celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or just dropping by for a meal with family and friends. You’ve made our restaurant more than just a place to eat; you’ve made it a home. Your loyalty has sustained us during the good times and kept us going through the tough ones. We are deeply honored to have been part of your moments, both big and small.

This decision to close was not an easy one, but it is the right time. The memories we’ve created together will remain in my heart forever. I want to thank each and every one of you for contributing to the success, joy, and spirit of our restaurants. I could not have imagined this journey without you.

Though this chapter is ending, the friendships and memories we’ve built will endure. I hope that every meal shared here, every conversation had, and every connection made will stay with you as fondly as it will with me.

This is not just a goodbye, but a thank you—for 21 unforgettable years.

With all my gratitude and love,

Big D

Big D's BBQ is a southern-style BBQ restaurant. We serve homemade country breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. We also cater events small to large all over the Southeast.

We take great pride in our Family owned business. Our success is due to believing in quality customer service with a smile. We hand-rub our family spices and smoke our BBQ fresh everyday with Hickory and believe true BBQ has different flavors everytime.

It's not all about BBQ. Our experienced longtime employees make delicious fresh juicy steak burgers and buffalo wings as well. We have perfect side dishes to compliment the best BBQ you'll ever experience. Oh, and don't forget our homemade country breakfast served daily. Our "Cathead" buttermilk biscuits are a great start to any morning! But don't take our word for it, come by and decide for yourself!

I have been in the greater Atlanta area for 32 years and finally found BBQ that is deserving to be called BBQ. As a North Carolina native, I take this recommendation seriously. This is without a question the best BBQ I have had and even better than what they serve back home. I suppose it's no surprise that there is a Tar Heel jersey hanging in the dining area. This place will not disappoint.

We have a catered event, and went in for a tasting. Peggy could not have been more kind and helpful. The food was delicious! We placed our order for the event and had to grab some more to go that day!
"This place is amazing! great service and food, I love getting breakfast here."
It should tell you something when I drive all the way from Savannah to eat here. Their pork is the best I’ve had. No need for sauce. Everything I’ve eaten here is absolutely fantastic. You’re missing out if you’ve never eaten here. I firmly suggest it, if you’re in the area.
